The man grunted in pain, trying to break free of the ropes. “How about now?” She asked. No response. “Alright then...” She took out a spool of wire and begun wrapping it around his wrist. Rima took one end of the wire and Akina took the other. Together they pulled, making the wire dig deep into his flesh. “Fine! Just stop!” He finally cried out, writhing in pain. “Head to the terminal over there, the password is 8710239.” He wheezed. Rima walked over and typed in the password as instructed. A panel in the wall opened and revealed a larger room with a series of machines barely visible inside. Akina cut the man's throat and followed Rima into the room. They approached a large column in the middle of the room with a monitor and a keyboard in it's surface. Akina quickly started typing in codes but stopped. Words were appearing on the monitor, “Nice try. Almost had me this time. However you won't be trying again...” Rima was reading the words over Akina's shoulder and quickly threw her back against the wall. “Rima! What are you-” Akina looked up to see an explosion blast Rima into the air.
Akina slowly crawled over to her, her hands trembling. “Hey... I guess this is the second time we are in this situation...” Rima's breathing was heavy and short. Her legs were bent into awkward angles and blood was staining her clothes. “Rima...w-what do you..” Akina stammered. Rima reached into her pocket, pulling out a pair of cracked glasses, and placed them over her eyes. Akina's jaw fell, memories flowing back to her.

P.S. This is a flashback if you don't catch on.
“H-hello... My name is Akina...” Akina stood before a filled first grade classroom, all their eyes watching her. She nervously introduced herself, looking down at her feet. “Well Akina, you can take your seat beside Rima over there.” The teacher directed her to an empty seat next to a girl with glasses perched on the end of her nose. “Hey there's no need to be so nervous.” Rima leaned over and spoke to her. “Everyone here is nice and I'm sure they would like to be your friend.” She smiled kindly at her. Akina fidgeted in her seat and spoke quietly. “B-but...” “Don't you want to make friends?” “It's not that... I just...” “Well, can't I be your friend?” Rima tilted her head, giving Akina a sad look. “Well... I guess...” Akina managed a small smile in response.
Through the following weeks they had become best friends and spent most of their free time together. “Hey Akina?” They were laying on the grass in a clearing of the a forest. “Yeah?” “I've never actually had any friends before. I'm happy you let me be your friend...” Rima closed her eyes and sat up. “I am as well. You know, when we first met, I thought you were the most popular girl in class.” Akina half-laughed. “Hah, I guess things aren't as they appear to be.”Rima helped Akina to her feet and they started off down the trail. They continued to talk as they walked, just enjoying the day.
The path went along the edge of a sharp decline to a shallow, rocky stream. “So what is th-” Rima stopped, losing her footing as a piece of dirt crumbled under her foot and sent her falling to the stream. She tumbled and her head hit one of the rocks protruding from the water. Akina quickly slid down the slope and crouched down beside Rima. “No... Rima, wake up. Please...” Akina tears welled up in her eyes as she held on to Rima. “H-hey...” Rima painfully opened her eyes and turned her head to face Akina. “Don't worry, I'll still be with you.” She did her best to smile before she finally went still. “Rima...” Akina bent over her body and wept.

“When we we're kids...” Akina whispered. “That's right.” Rima smiled up at her. “But how? You died and yet, you're here.” Akina asked her. “You are a special person, Akina. I did die, but because of you I was able to live again.” Rima sighed and closed her eyes. “I'm part of you.” “What? How is that possible?” “You see, I am a piece of your conscious that was given a physical form after your parent's died.” Rima answered her, “When I die, I will be returned to your body and you won't need to worry about your mental disorders anymore.” “No!” Akina shouted, “I don't care if I need to suffer for it, please, don't die...” Tears trickled down her cheeks and fell on to Rima. Kray and several others entered the room and found them on the floor. “Please... don't die...”

“That’s not how we let out some steam around here.”
Abby tilted her head towards the voice to find the owner to be a tall man with such a stature she has never seen before. “Then, what do you guys do here?” She asked even though she figured what the answer would be.
“Weightlifting, hand-to-hand combat… exercises of that nature. But, you look like you would do well letting off some rounds.” He added as he pointed to her split knuckle in a chuckle.
“Rounds? You mean, guns, right?” The man nodded. “But, I’ve never used a gun before.” Abby shook her head while it’s still against the glass.
“Before today, that is. Now come on, let’s head to the shooting gallery.” He walked past her expecting for Abby to follow but she just stayed in place with no motivation in her. Realizing that he was walking alone, the man turned to find her staring after him. “Come on, you’ll never go anywhere by just standing still.”
With an exaggerated heave, Abby stood straight and dragged her way over to stand before him. “The same principles apply in here as well.” He said as he pointed to her head. “Whatever has been eating you will never stop unless you do something about it.” She sighed heavily in response. “Hey,” He placed his hands on her shoulders and it felt like his hands were as hard as stone, “Just let it go.”
“Easy for you to say…” She muttered and lowered her eyes. “I have been basically worshiping the very bot that has taken my dad to who-knows-where and I’ll never be able to see him again.”
He let out a short laugh as he released her shoulders. “You’re not the only one here who has gone through that. We all have lost someone or something dear to us. And that’s why we are here to make sure that no one else has to go through that same feeling of sorrow.” He paused for a long moment but she didn’t look up to see him in a deep train of thought. “I heard that you wanted to join our cause, is that true?” Abby finally looked up at the man’s eyes and nodded. “Well then, let’s fire some rounds, shall we?”

They both head over to the elevator and the man pressed the button for the top floor before the doors closed shut. “You got a name kid?”
“Yeah…” She was too distracted from her thoughts to think further about what he said until she saw him raise a brow. “Oh, sorry. My name is Abby.”
He brought his hand out to her, “Call me Joe.” Abby looked at his hand for a moment before shaking hands. His grip was firm but she could tell that he was holding back on the strength of his grip. The elevator came to a stop as it rang and the doors opened. They walked out to the end of the hallway and Joe opened the furthest door to the elevator and motioned for Abby to get in before closing the door behind them.

Abby was surprised to find that there was a shooting gallery that was as long as the building itself. Well, it would have just been as large as a standard office if the wall hadn’t been torn off. She realized that the room was made up of at least 12 offices by noticing the concrete and support rods sticking out in each section of where the walls were. Joe walked to the wall across from them which contained guns of different calibers and picked out a few. “This here is a rifle which is used for long-ranged shots.”
“Am I going to be using that? Looks heavy.” Abby said as she tilted her head in thought.
“Perhaps not anytime soon but, it has a detachable stand that you can rest it on while taking aim…” He continued on as he taught her the basics about the weapons and the power behind them and, most importantly, which bullets they would take. Joe had her start with a .22 caliber handgun because of its light kick and also for its ‘softness’ of sound which Abby found it to be not ‘soft’ at all. Over time, he would have her to use a deagle and he sternly instructed her to keep her grip firm or else the gun would recoil and possibly hit her face, and then an Uzi (which she found it to be a funny name for a gun) and he then had her use larger automatic weapons. Some of which made her hands feel like noodles making her grip the weapons tighter in case they kick right out of her hands. She was glad to use the headphones to reduce the sound after switching to the heavier weaponry but her ears were still ringing a bit from those first shots without it.

“And be sure to keep your stance when firing. Always remember to use your peripherals. You never know where your next enemy might be hiding.”He walked over to the end of the range and examined the targets after collecting them and nodded, “Not bad for your first try but,” Joe looked at her dead in the eyes, “would you be willing to take a life?”
“What-?
He loaded a deagle and aimed right at her head. “I said, would you take a life?”
Abby still had an old AR-17 lowered in her hands. She was speechless and yet the question was clear in her expression.
“This is what your targets will look like! They are not just printed paper with ranged circles! They are people - like you and me – ready to kill you without a moment’s hesitation!” After a very long moment, he fired, “You’re dead!” Another. “You’re dead again!” Abby squeaked and held her gun to cover her head as the rounds whizzed by and a few even shot through her hair. By the time it ran out of ammo, Abby was crouched to the ground, breathing harder than ever before in fear.

Not dead yet!
"Out of the way!" Akina shouted, shoving several men aside as she led a pack through the halls. Rima was carried along in the middle of them on a stretcher. The group finally reached the operating room and set Rima down on the table. "I'm sorry but, you shouldn't be here for this." One of them ushered Akina out of the door and closed it behind them. She sighed and slid down the opposite wall to sit on the floor. "Figured you would be here." Kray strolled up the hall to meet Akina. "It's all my fault..." Akina buried her head in her hands. "No, there was nothing you could have done to stop this." Kray reassured her, settling down on the floor beside her. "But she pushed me out of the way of the blast, if I hadn't-" "If she didn't you both would be in there, please, don't blame yourself for this." Kray interrupted her. Akina sat silently with Kray few a while before he got up. "Come on, lets get to bed." He extended his hand to her but she refused it. "Fine, just please don't sit out here all night." He sighed and walked off. A few hours later Kray came back to find Akina fast asleep on the floor. He draped a blanket over her and headed off again. Morning came and Akina slowly stirred. The doors of the operating room were wide open and no one was inside. She started off down the hall looking in every door trying to find Rima. At the very end of the hall she finally found Rima asleep in a plain white room, hooked up to life support. She slowly sat down in a chair by the bed and laid her hand on Rima's. The warmth of life was still there but her pulse was weak. She broke down into tears again beside Rima.

Akina eventually cried herself to sleep. Falling into a dark hard slumber, she once again fell victim to the war that was raged within her. Parts of herself fighting, throwing themselves around, battering at each other, all the while destroying the whole consciousness they were a part of. If they kept on this track for much longer, her personality would not be able to form a cohesive whole. Fragmenting completely and isolating themselves could be the only result.

Finally, when further conflict with herself seemed unbearable, a cool soothing peace started at one corner of her mind and spread quickly. It was the most amazing sense of relief she had ever experienced. Like a salve applied to a burning wound.

Akina knew what was happening, she felt it as clearly as she felt her inability to stop it. A massive wave of grief combined with the relief and she was nearly rent in two by the emotions that tore through her. Finally, at the apex of emotion, her eye snapped open, desperately seeking evidence to disprove what she already knew to be reality.

The bed lay empty. For one hopeful moment she thought that Rima might have been transferred, her hopes crumbling when she pulled back the covers of the bed to find an empty hospital gown.

Akina sank back into the bedside chair, covering her eyes with her hands...her eyes? No. Her fingers felt her eye socket and her mind fell upon the one who was behind the vast ocean of hurt in her life. "S.I.R. Bottington". She whispered the name, standing slowly, conflicting emotions gathering together and rising into a tempest of ice cold fury.

Face set like stone Akina strode out of the room picking up her katana from the corner and walking purposefully out of the room.

As she marched out of the med wing a mirror caught her attention. The change had come to her remaining eye. With the completion of herself, her eye had turned an ice blue. A pure color, refreshing but potentially incredibly lethal.

With a look of pure death in her ice blue eye she walked calmly out of the complex, straight toward their next objective.

um, I might have forgotten what and where that objective might be. I would also like a critique of my super descriptive writing style, is it too much of a pain to read through?

Akina jogged through the streets, the evening had become overcast and a light shower was falling. The clouds brought night on early and the city lights fought back the premature dark. A fresh breeze rustled Akina's hair as she ran. She then spotted an un-attended motorcycle and soon she had it hotwired and was accelerating down the street. Rage still burning through her small frame, she found her head cleared and her senses sharpened by the fiery anger and she whipped down the city streets. On her way to the next facility she used the nimble bike to her advantage the rain stinging her cheeks as she dodged cars, ran lights and skillfully avoided accidents at every turn.

Finally arriving at her destination, she got off her bike, having parked it in the parking lot of the facility. She then looked the compound over as she darted into the shadow of the building beside it. It was a rather humble, down to earth, complex that only had a wall of medium height to discourage the occasional trespasser. She saw that she could easily get over the wall, so she tensed herself for a spring.

Suddenly a flurry of movement caught her eye and she watched as a strange little vehicle squealed around the corner of an ally on the other side of the road. It sped into the facility parking lot and tried to skid to a halt. The vehicle slid over the newly fallen rain and careened into the parked motor bike knocking it over. The car then died with a final tired cough. The driver got up shakily and staggered out of the little truck. Quickly regaining his composure, he ran straight at the gate, performing a nifty wall run and perching on the top of the gate. Unfortunately for him, the walls were topped with infrared sensors and he had broken the beam of light. The alarm in the building immediately went off and the shadowy figure suddenly dropped off the gate into the complex. Akina rolled her eyes, here was probably another rebel with a death wish, but she could use him as a distraction. She braced herself, then ran towards the wall, her boots finding purchase on the rough outer surface, she converted her forward momentum to upward force and she grabbed the top of the wall. heaving herself over and dropping into the wide courtyard below.

Suddenly the men in back started falling, their guns dropping to the ground, the lights breaking or bouncing around, occasional flashes coming from the blade used to kill them. They were killed quietly and the men in front of them had no idea that anything was hitting them. The men were going down at an alarming rate and Akina knew that if she wanted in on this action, she would have to hurry.

She pulled up her face mask and put on her hood, narrowed her eyes and sprang forward. She sprinted at the front of the group of men aiming to get there before they noticed what was happening.. Drawing her sword as she neared them, she drove the point up through the first man's chin into his brain, yanking it out and whirling around to take the head of another. She then pulled out her sidearm and squeezed off three quick rounds into the heads of the same number of men nearby. By that time the remaining men in the group had spotted her and they opened fire.

Bullets whizzing around her Akina threw herself at the last man severing his arms with a swipe from her sword, she spun him around using his bulky SWAT armor as cover from the blistering fusillade that she knew was to come. Bullets thudding into the man, she pulled the riot shield off his back and emerged from behind him heading towards the two remaining men. The last men however, now had something to shoot at and they pulled out all the stops. Akina found herself being driven back by the hail of bullets, the constant jarring of the shield causing her to slowly lose her grip on the handle. Then the beams of the flashlights clattered to the ground, the men apparently having been killed, had dropped their weapons.

Akina immediately moved out of the beams of the lights and waited for her eyes to adjust to the dark. When she could see again, she noticed the figure she had seen earlier standing by the door, holding it open and beckoning her over.

She jogged over and passed through the door, immediately turning around when she got in to size up the mysterious person. She looked him up and down, he had also worn a hood, glasses and a face mask.

She noted the worn out, patched, state of his clothes, which consisted of a baggy hoodie and some frayed jeans. For weapons he carried an assault rifle from one of the guards outside and a hand and a half European broadsword. Akina raised her eyebrows, asking a silent question.

He nodded and pulled off his mask and hood. Akina was surprised and slightly amused to find a young man, no older than herself with shaggy hair and a slightly feral grin smiling at her. He straightened his face and said lightly.

"I can appreciate how satisfying the berserker side of battle is, but sometimes you need to make them meet you on your terms. Oh, please forgive me, my name is Eugene." He shuffled his feet slightly awkwardly then extended his had to shake.

Akina pulled off her hood and mask as well, and then turned to Eugene and shook his hand. He started slightly and cast his eyes downwards mumbling as he did so, "Anyway, I am just here to kill the Bot's people, and maybe find out where the main base of his is, you got anything you need to do?" Akina nodded, "This is one of Bottington's potential backup locations as well as a place he could escape from if we attack him directly. Since he is such a massive A. I. they need a whole compound to house the equipment needed to transfer him if they want to do it quickly and effectively. We aim to take out all of these compounds and then attack the computer he resides in with a virus that is currently in development back at the base.""Base?! Sounds like you've got your stuff together." Akina nodded once more "I have brought some plastic explosives that should take out their network and computers if we can access them." "That will hardly be a problem, I am here to kill all of the major obstacles anyway." Akina pulled her mask and hood back on, "Let's not waste any more time."

It was Eugene's turn to nod, "Got it." Pulling on his face mask he said " You just give directions, I'll take the gaurds." Akina sighed, "Look, you aren't going to have all the fun while I just carry explosives, one of my main motives for coming here was to kill some of these…yeah, so don't think you can take all of the satisfaction while I stand by." Eugene's shoulders slumped "Fine, we'll alternate groups, since you are so excited about this you can have the first set of guards." Akina nodded once more, "That's fair."
