I just finished Gurren Lagann (definitely my #1 for the moment) and watched FLCL for the first time. Anyone know any other humorous, entertaining animes? I watch naruto, dbz, durarara!!, FMA:B. I would prefer if you guys could suggest things on Netflix

I have no clue what isn't on Netflix and what is, but some suggestions are Bakemonogatari, Nisemonogatar(after Bake), and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Let's look at it this way, if you want to watch some really good anime, you're going to have to download it eventually.

Silly Ryan, you've never seen either of the dubs. Bandai dub is pretty decent imo and the Animax dub is only good as a source of comedy.

Anyway, if you're sticking to Netflix, it might help if you told us what kind of shows you were into? Like romance/comedy? Try Shuffle or Chobits?

Like silly action shows? Try Strike Witches. Like... economics/fantasy in historical setting somewhere in Europe? Try Spice and Wolf.

I don't have a specific type, but I love shows like Gurren Lagann, FLCL, High School of The Dead, so anything that has good enough quality, a story that has me hooked instantly, and I guess some comedy thrown in there. but if it's a straightup serious anime, i hate when the animation is super duper, like...stiff. if you know what I mean?

I watched some of Nisomonogatari and it made no sense, so I've been meaning to watch Bakemono...but I might just watch that online.

In that case, I think I'd give Strike Witches, Full Metal Panic, and Darker than Black a try. Especially Darker Than Black.

Nothing will match Gurren Lagann, but you probably figured that out by now.

That's because Nise comes AFTER Bake so of course it won't make sense
