Anybody here play DayZ? :o I just got it having fun with Hadai.

Just got done clearing out a fire-house of some guns and a supermarket- in which we saw a goat and started to chop it up and received sniper fire shortly after. R.I.P. Hadai.

So, I'm like drained of blood and chilling in some bushes. Anybody wanna' hang out.

You guys should go play it.

If you like laggy teleport zombies and glitches galore.

You don't even own it. From a first hand experience if you are not using a toaster, with a fork in it jabbed into a gameboy, OR connected to one as a server, You won't get latency issues with zombies or GPU issues (like gfx effing up).

TLDR; Don't use a toaster to play and don't join a server hosted by a easy-bake-oven with 750 ms ping.

Actually you need:

Arma 2 (free) + Arma Operation Arrowhead only $15 on steam
or
Arma 2 (full) + Arma OA - 15$ a piece on steam
or
Arma Conbined Operations (Arma2+ArmaOA) - $23 on steam

The "demo" of Arma 2 on steam is actually the free or "lite" version. And the mod is actually a mod of Operation Arrowhead- so you only have to buy OA - BUT it uses a map in Arma 2. The only trade off for the lite is like slightly worse player models and some scenery.

Well, I own Arma 2, and the AI in that is mindbogglingly retarded. On your team at least.

But, every video and every post about DayZ has latency issues. And you didn't even address the bug issue.

They have a shit ton of bugs in it, I wouldn't even touch it for a bit until they work most of the serious bugs out.

I would like to remind everyone that this mod is barely on its alpha state, so some bugs, latency and teleporting zombies are to be expected. Even like that it seems to me like one hell of an awesome mod and the zombie survival theme is something i've waiting for all my gaming life. It certainly seems better than nazi zombies imo.
got a problem? RUB SOME BACON ON IT

There's lots of bugs, and honestly, unless you have lots and lots of time to dedicate towards it, the game itself isn't too much worth it.

The average player life is 37 minutes... I myself just hop on about 2-3 hour sessions at most.

Killed my first guy today. :( We kind of just bumped into each other and I ducked behind a door into a room freaking out. Thanks to third-person I could see he had a crossbow(snickers); but I'm not that much of a dick so I told him 'friendly' - but he just kept peering into the room- even getting closer. I was like 'friendly' again. HE DIDN'T RESPOND. HE DIDN'T RESPOND.

mfw he kept getting closer.

Mfw his pistol and crossbow had no ammo.

WHAT HAVE I DONE.
